Whenever I see the star looking symbol associated with Freemasons, I thought it has to do something with the bible star of Solomon. I did not know that it is The Square and Compasses (or, more correctly, a square and a set of compasses joined together)

  1. This is where it gets complicated. Reference to the first line of the MM Working Tools is a good example! I think even in the ritual book both terms are used…

  2. A compass (or pair of compasses) is a technical drawing instrument that can be used for inscribing circles or arcs. The Masonic were carpenters which a pair of compasses were used extensively. Where as compass is a navigational instrument that shows directions….I hope it help
